Guardian

After the rebellion against Quintesson rule and the establishment of  new rule on Cybertron, The Guardian were the first true government that ruled Cybertron and its earliest empire, the Guardian empire.

Formed by Guardian prime, many to all cybertronians considered the guardian era the best era of Cybertron and the faction the most just for their society then what came after, and many people have nostalgia from that time.

Even after their near disappearance by the time of the great war the guardian faction still existed as the Optimus faction on Rebirth.

History:

The guardian faction was formed after the Quintesson rebellion as the products of freedom from the Quintesson empire by Guardian prime. They ruled Cybertron as its first united government not influenced by the Quintessons.

They started the Guardian expansion and founded the firs cybertronian empire known as the Guardian empire and colonised many worlds inhospitable to organic life while they did also colonise some organic worlds like Aqwatron.

For most of their long rule they had a good relationship with the galaxy as they ascended to the galactic community, even after the Antalia incident they had good relationship with most superpowers of the time.

Then the Guardian-Malignus civil war began which sent Cybertron to turmoil, during the war they invented many weapons including the Omega sentinels. Even though they won the war they were replaced by the Autobot faction.

Many Guardians  joined the Autobots and  by the time of the great war they were very rare faction and nearly extinct. However a grope of Neo-Guardians called the Optimus ruled planet Rebirth and their were still guardians after the great war.
